Abstract
The regularity condition for ideal magneto-hydrodynamic equationsis given by Caflisch, Klapper and Steele(1997), in analogy with the well-known Beale-Kato-Majda criterion for the Euler equations.Roughly speaking, it states that bothvorticity and current (that is, a curl of magnetic field)should be finite, then no singularity will develop in the solutions. Here we note by an elementary argument that actually if the magneticfiled is smooth, then the solution remains regular. This is shown by taking into account another first integral related withcross-helicity.
